An action plan to respond to the repercussions of the earthquake.
His Excellency explained what the Ministry did within its plan to respond to the repercussions of the earthquake, starting from forming a work team in cooperation with people’s organizations, which included several committees for social communication, teacher support, psychosocial support, artistic, sports and musical activities, and youth initiatives. Schools were used as shelters for those who were affected, and the students donated to their colleagues in the affected governorates by the earthquake, as well as the need to evaluate and rehabilitate the infrastructure and the various activities implemented related to educational or psychological support, giving compensatory lessons to students of general certificates and the transitional stage, supporting educational frameworks, and forming virtual classes in cooperation with international organizations to compensate for the educational losses, indicating the need to secure their daily requirements.
The meeting was attended by the following organizations: UNICEF, UNESCO Regional Bureau for Education in the Arab States in Beirut, French Islamic Relief, INTERSOS, World Food Programme, International Committee of the Red Cross, while organizations attended virtually: UNHCR, Premiere urgence International, Triankel, Taawon Italian International, United Nations Project Services, Italian Civil Volunteers, Norwegian Refugee Council, Finnish Relief, Taalouf Association.
