Syrian National Commission for Education, Science and Culture held two meetings to follow its work on: 18/7/2012&16/12/2012, under the chairmanship of His Excellency Dr. Hazwan Alwaz / Minister of Education/ President of the Commission and in the presence of its members, during which Mr. Minister emphasized the importance of communication, coordination and following-up between the National Commission and the ministries and institutions and the national stakeholders.

He also pointed to the seriousness of the crisis and the intensification of malicious misleading campaign that obstructs the movement of the country and its reform project, which influenced the work of the Commission and its activities and clearly reflected on the absence of events organized within the country that affected by the circumstances.

Dr. Nidal Hasan Secretary General of the National Commission, stressed on the importance of efforts by the coordinators in the ministries that enable the Commission to carry out its functions and fulfill its obligations as appropriate, drawing attention to the impact of events on the level of activities and events which the National Commission participated at, with a presentation on the low level of participation in external activities, pointing to the actual amount of activities carried out by the Commission and in which it taking part during the period of 2005 to 2012, and according to the following graphic representation.
