A virtual Training webinar about Integrated Education under the Title "A Conceptual Frame for Integrated Education Programs Regarding Reopening Schools in the Arab Countries"
In the context of the increasing demand for accessing education with greater flexibility, regarding the fact that technology provides a wider range of learning opportunities and educational resources to meet the various needs of learners, the integrated learning has become the most prominent and preferable solution because it supports the achieving of democratization for accessing the quality education.
In line with the plan to school reopening at the regional and global levels, the Ministry of Education participated in a regional webinar organized by UNESCO Regional Bureau for Education in the Arab Countries – Beirut, on September 1st to 2nd, 2020; with the presence of a number of experts and educational officials from Arab countries as for putting up a conceptual frame for implementing the integrated learning effectively and responding to the raised awareness of regional need, identifying and sharing good practices and initiatives in the field of integrated learning in order to design integrated learning programs and implement them in the curricula.
During the opening of the webinar, H.E. Dr. Darem Tabbaa, The Minister of Education - The Chairman of The Syrian National Commission for UNESCO, expressed his appreciation for the efforts exerted to ensure the continuation of the educational process despite the difficulties, asserting on the importance of distant-learning, which has become at the most important concern for all parties working to provide education for all in the light of the Corona pandemic, and on his hope for continuing joint cooperation to find new ways to ensure education for all, wishing success to the webinar in achieving its goals.
On his behalf, Dr. Yasser Noah - The Director of Informatics at the Ministry of Education made a presentation about the experience of the Syrian Arab Republic in the field of blended learning, adding virtual classes, and how to employ this pattern in learning in the light of Corona pandemic. The experiment is considered as one of the important contributions made by the Ministry of Education within the distant-learning programs to compensate the educational loss and training students on the systems of integrating traditional education with modern learning methods .Besides, the webinar included several valuable and important presentations concerning the application of this style.
